WEEK  4: Beyond Success to Significance

1.    MONDAY (27/10/08)
•    Read Luke 12:15-21 and invite the Holy Spirit to speak to you from the text.
•    Is God’s definition of success similar to the world’s? If not, what’s the difference?
•    Are there any attitude adjustment about success that I need to make?

2.    TUESDAY (28/10/08)
•    Read Philippians 3:2-14. Note Paul’s “before” and “after” story of his conversion.
•    Compare your life before and after becoming a Christian. Identify any significant value and motivational changes that has taken place.

WEDNESDAY (29/10/08)
•    Read 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
•    What way do you see this prophecy being fulfilled today?
•    How should believers live in the last days? (Eph. 2:10; Titus 3:1,8,14)

THURSDAY (30/10/08)
•    Read Genesis 25: 29-34; Hebrews 12:16,17
•    In what way is Esau like one who lived with a temporal outlook?
•    How should the realisation that life on earth is short affect our priorities?

5. FRIDAY (31/10/08)
•    Read 1 Timothy 6:17-19
•    How should a Christian handle wealth? In what way is it different from the world?
•    Are there any adjustments you need to make as a result of this understanding?

6.  SATURDAY (1/11/08)
•    Read John 13:14; 1 Peter 2:4,5,9; 1 Peter 4:10; Matthew 5:16
•    Review the past month.
•    What can you praise God for? Whom have you served?
•    Where can you improve and how can you make kind deeds more intentional in your life?
