Text: Jonah 4

2 possible ways we can run ahead of God:-

I. WE RUN AHEAD IN OUR TIMING (4:1-4)
God’s judgment:
- Is not a matter of “Will he judge” but “when will he judge”

- In God’s timetable, grace always precedes judgment.

II. WE RUN AHEAD OF GOD IN OUR MOTIVES (4:5-11)

Alignment:

- We can be aligned by confession and not by affection.
- In God’s eyes, right motives should drive right action.

CONCLUSION

Make God’s concern our concern. Our motivation is to share in the Father’s burden.
